Kaylah graduated from South Elgin HS despite High Risk B-Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia and will be studying Health Sciences at Elgin Community Colllege

Taylor is battling osteosarcoma and will be entering the Uinversity of Iowa's Business School on "her new leg". 

Katherine graduated from Libertyville H.S. despite an emergency surgery which discovered Stage 4 Hodgkin's Lymphoma.  She will be a Sophomore Business student at Marquette University.

Dylan graduated from Barrington H.S.. overcoming the challenges of Ewing sarcoma, twice.   He will be a Senior in Carthage College's Allied Health Sciences program.

Bobby graduated from Libertyville H.S.. overcoming the challenges of lymphoma and is now a sophomore at Illinois State University.

Rosie graduated from Fremd H.S. despite constant health challenges from brain tumors since she was 3 years old.  She studied at Harper College and is now studying art.

Ashley attended UW-Parkside, with a few interruptions from challenges caused by MoyaMoya disease.

Abbie graduated from Grayslake H.S. and earned her Nursing degree at Purdue University.

Mayra graduated from Round Lake H.S. and studying clinical psychology at the College of the Holy Cross in Chicago.

Cale graduated from North Central College's Interactive Media program.  He now lives and enjoys working media jobs in Milwaukee.

Brad, from Spring Grove, battled cystic fibrosius his entire life and has a double lung transplant just before earning his BS from UW-Steven's Point.  On 1/23/2025 he passed away, engaged to be married and owning his own home, at just 26 years old.

Kelsey graduated from Libertyville H.S. and used her Pete Scholarships to earn her BSN at the University of Alabama,  She is now an accomplished operating room nurse at Vanderbilt Medical Center.

Anna proudly earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy at Saint Louis University and is a practicing PT in Chicago.

Aunur earned his BA in Marketing & Graphics studies  and then his  Masters of Social Studies at the University of Illinois in Champaign.

Cynthia finished both her undergraduate  Business Administration degree and MBA at Robert Morris University with honors and happily resides in Waukegan.

Kylene has graduated with her Nursing degree from Elmhurst College and is now a practicing Registered Nurse in the Chicago area, happily married and a mom!

Lauren completed her studies and missionary work at BYU majoring in History, met her husband Dan thanks to their mutual love of movies, and is happy and healthy in Indianapolis.

Jenna graduated with her BS in Nursing from St.Mary's at Notre Dame, was recently married, and is working in the Loyola Medical Center in Maywood, IL.

Jennifer graduated from Southern Illinios University and fulfilled her dream of being a fashion designer in New York City before succumbing to Freideich's ataxia on June 24, 2018 at age 25.

Marc (Pete's Scholar founding recipient) graduated from the University of Iowa in May 2013 but passed away in January 2014 at his apartment in Iowa City, IA, with his guitar at his side. He had an impressive lifetime despite compounding health challenges his entire life.

Jake is beating Pre-B Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia as he starts working on a nuclear engineering degree at University of Wisconsin in Madison.

Michael graduated from Howard Taft H.S.. overcoming a lifetime of challenges from severe Crohn's and other disorders..   He will be a Sophomore at Dominican University

Sydney graduated from Lakes H.S. despite the challenges of osteosarcoma and is a 3rd year Nursing student at Marquette University.

Brianna has overcome Omenn syndrome (SCIDS) and is an honored Senior accounting major at University of Illinois - Chicago.

Abby graduated from Hershey H.S.. despite the challenges of Primary Ciliary Dyskineria and a graduate Nurse from Purdue University.

​Chadi moved form Morrocco to get brain tumor treatments in 2015, then had to conquer leukemia. His cancer is now in remission as he enters his junior year studies at Loyola-Chicago.

Shria graduated from Neuque H.S. in Naperville and finished her Biology studies at Loyola University in Chicago.

Liv graduated from Libertyville H.S. and completed a 6-year law degree program at DePaul University in Chicago.

Ian graduated from the University of Michigan's Computer Science program in 2020 and works for Amazon in Austin, Texas.

Amanda graduated from Carmel H.S. and earned 5 Pete's Scholarships to complete her Montana State University's Cell Biology & Neuroscience degree.

Jake graduated from Fremd H.S. and used his 4 Pete's Scholarships to graduate from Indiana University's Kelly Business School. He is now running marathons despite recurring brain tumor treatments and working in Nashville.

Ethan completed his BA at St. Xavier University in Chicago and is now a professional illastrator.

Josh earned his Graphic Arts degree from McHenry Community College and is now an innovative graphic designer in Woodstock, IL.

Lauren studied at the University of Iowa and Harper College.

Joanna earned her journalism degree from Notre Dame in South Bend despite her mounting physical challenges caused by Freidreich's ataxia.  This courageous lady passed away October 17, 2018 at age 25.

Frank earned his Associates Degree in HVAC Studies from Harper College and is working in metro Chicago.

David completed two years of the University of Illinois' aerospace engineering program, and 4 of 5 years of his Syracuse University architecture degree before passing away on March 3, 2017. David epitomized the character and courage of our Pete's scholars.

Jim earned his BS in Computer Engineering at University of Iowa in 2014 and is a software engineer in Chicago.

Haley graduated in 2012 from the Honors University at Lake County College.  Haley continues to help others in Lake County with her hippotherapy skills.
